Dean's Message

With over 12 years of professional graduates, AUA Law remains committed to the goals of preparing globally aware and competitive professionals for the development of Armenia and the region.

Consistent with our understanding of law as a service profession and public-spirited discipline, we aim to promote fairness and efficiency in the public and private transactions of daily life. Well-trained legal advisers and advocates have an important role to play in promoting economic prosperity and prudent design of laws, regulations, policies and institutions.

We encourage students with the integrity, intelligence, commitment to service and dedication to justice to pursue legal studies at AUA in order to gain the knowledge and practical skills in American, European, comparative, and international public and private law necessary for the global market.

The world keeps changing and the law with it. A lawyer's education is never done. But lawyers are among the busiest professionals in the world.

For this reason, the Law Department offers several new and convenient ways to pursue legal studies at AUA. Our curriculum – organized into thematic modules – permits quick, concentrated study to hone specific skills.

For those seeking the LL.M., it is no longer necessary to wait for the fall to begin studies. While the traditional fall start has definite advantages, qualified students may start with any module that fits their schedule and complete the degree within two to three years.

With AUA's new non-degree student status, it has never been easier to sign-up for one or two courses and continue your education one step at a time. So don't wait. Our doors are open to qualified students who want to become and stay globally competitive. For the 2011-12, 2012-13 academic years, in response to student interest, the Law Department will be introducing more electives and two new modules so that students will have more opportunity and flexibility to pursue topics that interest them in more depth.
