ELECTRONIC INTERLIBRARY LOAN SERVICE

FOR AUA FACULTY, STUDENTS AND STAFF USE ONLY!

ILL Policy

  1. Interlibrary Loan Agreement has been signed between Papazian Library, AUA and Wimberly Library, Florida Atlantic University. Through this service the AUA Library assists University faculty, students and staff in meeting their research needs by obtaining materials, which are not owned locally.
  2. FAU Library provides photocopies of materials held by FAU Library only.
  3. AUA Library may request up to 6 copies per day, for a maximum of 30 copies per workweek.
  4. All requests must be mediated by AUA Library staff to ensure the item requests are held by FAU WebLuis Library Catalog.
    Patrons may request photocopies of periodical articles, conference papers, book chapters, sections of reference works, and government documents in compliance with the Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S. Code). One of the specified conditions of the law is that the photocopy is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research."
  5. Planning ahead is essential to ensure receipt of materials when needed.
  6. Fill out all information on the Interlibrary Loan Article Request Form completely and do NOT abbreviate.
  7. Interlibrary photocopying privileges are not extended to other categories of library patrons.
